Editable SVG File Export Settings? Please help!!

Hi everyone! I need to export some SVG files from Illustrator, and the files needs to be editable. I'm working on a "online editor" and when i load other SVG's into the editor, it allows me to change the all the different colors in the file.

I have never used Illustrator, but only Photoshop for many years.

I tried saving with all the different settings i can find, but the editor don't even register the colors.

Unfortunately i don't have a live link for the editor, but i hope you can make some sense of what i mean :-)

Any help will be SO very much appreciated!

File > Save As In your save window click the format dropdown and select SVG. There are a lot of options but for the most part I usually click "ok" and it saves as SVG.

You can also retrieve the SVG code before clicking ok to save.
