Error in Treehouse code?

I was getting an error but knew that my code was correct. The directions say to assign the value of input "with ID of link" field to a variable. But the <a> has the ID link and the input field has ID linkName.

Didn't know if this was a typo on Team Treehouse's end?

app.js
let inputValue = document.getElementById("link").value;
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
    <head>
        <title>DOM Manipulation</title>
    </head>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" />
    <body>
        <div id="content">
            <label>Link Name:</label>
            <input type="text" id="linkName">
            <a id="link" href="https://teamtreehouse.com"></a>
        </div>
        <script src="app.js"></script>
    </body>
</html>

Hi Alexander, it looks like you're correct and its an issue with the description of the task. The task passes when you store the value of the element with id linkName which is the text input. The challenge requirement should instead state "Store the value of the input element with the id linkName in the variable inputValue."

Edit: I've made the Treehouse team aware of this issue.
