Error not understood

Question

In this exercise, I think I have written the code correctly, but it keeps saying that I must use ++ to increment mBarsCount, which is what I did. apparently there is no error in the code. Is this a bug or is there something wrong in my code?

  private int mBarsCount;

  public GoKart(String color) {
    mColor = color;
    mBarsCount = 0;
  }

  public String getColor() {
    return mColor;

    boolean isCharged = false;
    while (!isFullyCharged()) {
    mBarsCount ++;
    isCharged = true;
    }
    return isCharged;
  }  

  public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
    return mBarsCount == 0;
  }

  public boolean isFullyCharged() {
    return mBarsCount == MAX_ENERGY_BARS;
  }

}

I think the code written to parse your code, that checks your work to pass the challenge is not accounting for the space between your mBarsCount and ++'s.

Even though if you ran this inside java, java wont error out. Technically you just found a bug. ;)
