Even TextView Width and Height

Hello.

So I'm trying to find a way to even out my TextView's width and height. What I have right now is something like this (TextView with uneven width and height):

| T |
+---+

What I want (TextView with even width and height):

+-----+
|  T  |
+-----+

Please help.

shouldn't those properties be solved in the xml file you just set it to have the same values for width and height

layout_width = wrap_content, layout_height = wrap_content...
