Great find! I like the tip about not using black #000 for the main text, I definitely prefer something softer like a dark grey.

@Fabi - My go to color is #444 instead of black.

Just to add to the tip about not using black, please check these two articles:

Design Tip: Never Use Black and Don’t Use Black for Shadows

They are not about typography but provide great insights as to why you shouldn't use black.

Totally agree @fabi & @james #000 is too flat! Add a bit of warmth or cools to add depth.
