Express.js or Laravel

I currently have a decent amount of knowledge on the front-end and I'm looking to learn back-end mainly so I can build a project. The thing that I'm struggling with is deciding which back-end language to go with. I know php from dealing with WordPress and I know a decent amount of js and python. Every time I start in on a language or framework I constantly think would it be better to do this in X framework or language. Just looking for some advice from some people who have way more experience than me.

I would google 'express vs laravel comparison' and see what community experts are saying. You may also want to look up jobs in your area. If most are looking for back end PHP, you may want to focus on Laravel regardless of which one is better.
