Feedback on a mood board

Thanks to the color palette talk below, I wanted to get some feedback on my mood board. One note that is the area of colors near the top is the idea I wanna go through for possible colors for the backdrop of a slider of recent projects. So they will not be stacked like that on the regular web page. Also since I have you looking, anyone have thoughts on the tagline?

I like the content breakup.

Perhaps instead of using color backgrounds to breakup the active slide you could use opacity to specify it.
