Feedback on brackets text editor?

Hey Craig,

More and more, text editors are becoming identical in their usability, themes, etc. It's mainly down to user preference. I switched to Sublime originally from Brackets due to a few specific plugins and the fact that everyone on my team used it. Otherwise, I didn't really notice any major difference (Other than the price of Sublime). But Brackets does have the handy live preview.

However, I now use and recommend Atom. It's free and stable with a constant stream of new plugins.

Whichever editor you use, consider using the Emmet plugin.

I'm using brackets now because it has live server to see html, css edited in real time side by side. In addition, it has emmet plugin. So brackets feels like sublimetext.

The only difference is fonts and hotkeys. So far by using brackets I have been able to debug a lot less and type less typos.

Is it worth the switch it's really up to you. Whatever your more comfortable with and which ever one makes your work flow faster.

Thanks for the feedback and comments about the editors, I have been using sublime text since I statred developing but for some reason im not sure why I started to feel it was outdated and with the other options being just as feature rich and free of charge it seems silly not to give them a try.

I am going to have a go with Atom and Brackets to see what the situation is, most of my work is WordPress so the preview would be an unused tool in some ways.

But I will give them both a go to try and get acquainted with the features and shortcuts etc.
