When earning badges here at Treehouse, we state the date you earn your badge for the purpose of progress tracking. If you're concerned about an employer making assumptions about you learning a language later than earlier, it would be a great opportunity for you to show off previous work or efforts on your portfolio that would suggest you've learned some of those skills at an earlier time and that you've recently brushed up on them at Treehouse!
