HTML Introduction to HTML and CSS (2016) Make It Beautiful With CSS Test: Styling by Element and Class

figuring out how to give <p> the color "red"

I was instructed to give the border "3px wide, solid, and red. When I've type it in, it told me to give "<p> the color red". Do I put "<p>" in the border as well?

index.html
<!doctype html>
<html>
  <head>
    <link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet">
  </head>
  <body>

    <p class="main-pg">My amazing website</p>

  </body>
</html>
styles.css
.main-pg {text-align centered
  border: 4px solid red;
}

You don't need to put <p> in the border because you have already set the class of main-pg within your <p>.

Remove text-align centered and also remove wide from your css and your code will work.

In the style.css, we can set the properties of the border like this:

.main-pg { border: 4px solid red; }
