4,056 PointsFirst take the var id that has been set to uppercase and use concatenation to add the # symbol, then concatenation again to add the var lastName in uppercase. so.. userName += "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();
Your answer wasn't correct because you didn't use concatenation to add the symbol and last name to the id variable correctly.

231,275 PointsIt turns out this particular challenge is pretty tolerant and the solution shown does pass, even with the erroneous argument in it. Most challenges are much more picky.

Also, Treehouse discourages posting of explicit solutions without explanation. If they see it, it may be redacted.
