for in loop

As I was doing the code along, I typed for i in array "do" and "|variable|" appeared. I ignored it and ran the code, but I encountered the error. I then tried removing "do" and the code ran as shown in the video. Is this normal?

This sounds more like the behavior of code snippet or intelligent code completion from IDE/editor; however, without seeing the actual code, it's no way to tell what's going on here.
