public class Messy {
public static void main(String[] args) {
System.out.println("one");
System.out.println("two");
System.out.println("three");
System.out.println("four");
System.out.println("five");
// Please comment out this line and
// this line as well with a hotkey that does multi-line commenting
List<String> numberWords = Arrays.asList("six", "seven", "eight",
"nine");
for (String numberWord : numberWords) {
System.out.println(numberWord);
// Use the sout shortcut to write out numberWord;
}
try {
PrintStream out = new PrintStream(new FileOutputStream(
"results.txt"));
System.setOut(out);
}
catch (FileNotFoundException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}

7,723 PointsYou don't need to write text-file by Java, Just copy and paste your result from IntelliJ Idea console to 'results.txt' tab.

14,311 PointsMy guess is that you are calling the code that sets the standard output to a file after writing to standard output. Try the following:
try {
PrintStream out = new PrintStream(new FileOutputStream("results.txt"));
System.setOut(out);
}
catch (FileNotFoundException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
for (String numberWord : numberWords) {
System.out.println(numberWord);
}
