Front-end Web Development

Hello, my name is Xavier and I've been taking the Front-end Web Development track for a bit now. Currently, I have finished the first two courses in the track, which are "How to Make a Website" and "CSS Basics." I am a high school student and recently was assigned a project in my Environmental Science class for the end of the year. The class was told that we may pick any topic for the project as long as it was covered in the material for the class, and we were told that it may be presented in any way that we would like. Since I have been learning with Treehouse for a little bit, I thought that it would be nice to create a simple, single page website with information about the Keystone pipeline to share with the class. At first I was overjoyed that my knowledge of HTML and CSS would allow me to present this project in such a "different" way, but I soon realized that even though I followed along with the nice looking websites created in these first two courses, I was only barely scraping the surface of what I thought I was capable of since I convinced myself the websites I followed along with making were my own creations. This was a definite blow to me because my high expectations were GREATLY missed for this project. The question I want to ask regarding my situation is where should I be at now in terms of my skill? I want to welcome other students who share the same progress as me in this track to answer this question and possibly judge the website I have already created for the science project in an effort to improve it. Anyone who has finished this track or has come across this question, I also would like you to see my work and measure my progress so that I can determine if I have reached where I should be at this point.
