Hi everyone,

There is the Techdegree option, that I wanted to choose. First, I learned the basics in JavaScript: Array, loops, booleans, statements,.. But I have a feeling that I can't advance in JS. So I heard that Techdegree offers some real life projects, that would help me to increase my knowledge in web development.

Very important: I also heard that you only have to pay 200$/month, until you are done with the projects. Does this mean that you can't quit after 2 months for example, if you don't want it anymore?

Hi Erik, I've talked to some of the treehouse staff. They could tell me that the content of the techdegree is almost the same as js basic and intermediate, mostly just without the projects.

Thank you!

Hi Erik!

The core material in the Techdegree is also available in the general library but it is organized differently and there is some content that you can only get in the TD. In the Full-Stack JavaScript Techdegree, there are 10 units, each focused on a certain topic and each unit culminates in a project where you put what you have learned into practice.

The cost for a Techdegree subscription is $200 a month and while that auto-renews just like a Basic or Pro subscription you can pause or cancel and not be billed for future months. So if you try it for a month and decide it isn't for you then you can just cancel and be done. Or if you do like it but need to take a break for some reason (real-life comes first) then you can just pause and you won't be billed anymore. Either way, your progress is saved and you can pick back up where you left off if and when you are ready to return.

There is also a 7-Day free trial that you can sign up for, so you can check things out to see what you think.

I hope that info helps!

Lee
