How do I correctly program the test and return of my two arguments?

function max(4,6) {
if (max = 4 <)
    return 6;
}

Creating a function that takes two arguments and returns the 'max.'

First create a named function with the arguments. Next you will need an if/else statement to determine which argument is higher Then you return the argument with the max value

var max = function(a, b) {
  if (a > b) {
    return a;
} else {
    return b;
  }
};

Exactly what Jason said. ^ And don't forget to call the function with the parameters when you're finished! 

var max = function(a, b) {
  if (a > b) {
    return a;
} else {
    return b;
  }
};
max(4, 6);
