getCharacterName or getcharacterName?

Why is getCharacterName and not getcharacterName? In the code the characterName is written in camel case but why was it changed when we are using it in getCharacterName? Is that a rule for methods starting with "get"?

It's not exactly a "rule", but the definition of what "camel case" is. Identifiers using camel case start with lower case and then make the first letter of each joined word upper case.

In "characterName", "character" is the first word so it's lower case. But in "getCharacterName", "Character" is the second word so the first letter is capitalized. There's nothing special about "get" except that it's now the first word. So both of these identifiers adhere to the definition of "camel case".
