git clone - repository not found

I'm trying to use a git remote repository. The remote repository is hosted on a Ubuntu server on my company intranet. The site is accessible on the intranet at http://new.doublel.com. I want to clone this repository to my Windows computer. I created a bare repository on my Windows computer and tried to clone the remote repository into the bare repository using git clone http://new.doublel.com. Git throws an error that the remote repository was not found. What am I doing wrong?

Hey Eric,

You might want to check what type of access you have to the repo. If you have read-only, then you will not be able to clone the repo. This is important to check if the repo is set to private.

Thanks for your help. I've looked into what you've suggested. I guess I'm not sure what I understand how to check what kind of access I have to my repository.

eric@gramps:/var/www/new.doublel.com$ git remote -v doublelglobal http://new.doublel.com (fetch) doublelglobal http://new.doublel.com (push)
