So when I commit my Git file, it brings me to the page where I type in the notes about this commit. Once I get done writing the notes I should be able to hit ctrl X and followed with Y to finish the commit, however there is no Y to follow it. This is what it says ^X mode (^]^D^E^F^I^K^L^N^O^Ps^U^V^Y) at the bottom instead of what it shows on the 'Committing Changes' video in Git Basics.. How do I finish this commit?

a better way is to write the message when commiting using
git commit -m "your message here"
