Development Tools Introduction to Git GitHub and Other Remote Repositories Pushing Commits to GitHub

Git push -u not working...I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong

Everything has worked great until now... I entered git remote add origin https://... and this was the output

treehouse:~/workspace/medals$ git push -u origin master
ssh: Could not resolve hostname https: Name or service not known
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.

any help is much appreciated!

I'm only just getting to grips with Git but it looks like there's some kind of miss-match with ssh and https going on in the second line.

That looks like a problem with connectivity, either a temporary problem with the GitHub server itself or your own connection. A problem like this can usually sort itself in minutes if it hasn't already so keep trying. :-)

Thank you!
