Greetings How do I fix Vector Image color edges, Using Clone Stamp Tool on Photoshop?

Greetings,

I have an Vector Image and I delete the back ground to make it png file and need to fix the edges just to make it straight color.

I click the clone stamp tool button, press and hold ALT key to make it copy and just click it the edges. But it won't clone the color pixel... it won't do it... <sigh>

I'm new to this graphic designing so i don't know what to do.

How do you fix the color edges once you deleted the background? I'm using CS5

Thanks and God Bless.

Hi Dennis, If I am understanding what you are looking to do correctly, there are a couple of options for you to do this.

Option one: If you are bringing the vector image into photoshop (which I am assuming you did since you mentioned clone stamp tool), you can make sure the vector image is a smart object. You will be able to tell if it is a smart object based on the way it appears in the layers pallet. I would double click on the icon of the layer in the layers pallet to open the smart object. use the quick select tool to select the object and change the color here. One way to change the color here would to be to have the color you want to change it to set as a foreground color and then use the keyboard shortcut alt+delete.

Option two: Another option would be, again in your layers pallet, with the vector png layer selected. Click on the "lock transparent pixels" icon at the top of the layer pallet. This will allow you to make changes to only pixels that have some sort of fill. You can then paint or use the above mentioned keyboard shortcut to change the colors.

I hope this is what you were looking for.
