have red error border color before typing anything

This lesson is great but it already have red error border color before typing anything..

How can I make it that red border pops up ONLY when there is an error as opposed to showing red border error before typing in anything?

This particular page is intended only to be displayed after there's an error with the entry, so it's fine for the border to appear colored. This whole technique is a very simple substitute for active form validation, which will be taught in later courses.
