Have there been any major changes to AJAX after this video was released ??

This lesson seems kinda old so I would like to know if any major changes have been made to AJAX after the lesson was released.

AJAX is still around, but is not as commonly used since the introduction of the newer (and much easier) fetch technology.

You might enjoy the workshop on Working with the Fetch API.
