HTML HTML Basics Images, Text and Links Captioning Images

Hello. Could it be that you meant to say at 2:21 the figcaption is closely related to the title attribute, instead alt?

The title of the question says it all. I mean the alt also seems to be related, however I think it does not make sense to put a caption for what you see literally in the picture.

Hi Borian!

Title, Alt, and Captions all have their place.

A caption, which is usually the text under the image can offer an explanation (additional information) to enhance the image.

Some examples:

"The Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay in Redding, CA"

"The Leukemia Lymphoma Society Fundraiser"

"A Private Food and Wine Event at The Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, CA"

BTW, providing verbose and accurately descriptive titles, alts, and captions all help SEO.
