JavaScript JavaScript and the DOM (Retiring) Getting a Handle on the DOM Selecting Multiple Elements

Hello. I have been struggling with JavaScript and the Dom and I cannot think of a way to resolve this question. TIA

I'm sure the problem is fairly obvious and I'm just overlooking something simple.

var listItems = document.getElementById('rainbow');
var colors = ["#C2272D", "#F8931F", "#FFFF01", "#009245", "#0193D9", "#0C04ED", "#612F90"];

for(var i = 0; i < colors.length; i ++) {
  listItems[i].style.color = colors[i];

The element with the ID of "rainbow" is the unordered list (ul). The list items (li) are the children of that list element:

var listItems = document.getElementById('rainbow').children;

// and another way to select the same collection of list items:
var listItems = document.querySelectorAll('#rainbow li');
