hello im getting a compile error saying that im not intializing my variable..please help

hello im getting a compile error saying im not intializing my code ..can someone please help

Example.java 
// I have initialized a java.io.Console for you. It is in a variable named console.
console.readLine("Do you understand do while loops? ");
String response = yes;
if(response.equals("yes"));

Your variable should be initialized using the console input (instead of assigning it a hard-coded response such as 'yes'). We want the user of your program to input 'yes' or 'No'.

String response = console.readLine("Do you understand do while loops? ");
do {
  response = console.readLine("Do you understand do while loops? ");
}
while (response == ("No"));
console.printf("Because you said %s, you passed the test!", response);

When we assign a variable like this...:

String response = console.readLine("Do you understand do while loops? ");

...it prompts the user to answer the question "Do you understand do while loops? " AND it stores their answer in the variable we named 'response'. Pretty cool, huh?
