Hello, I want to know what should I learn next I just finished Digital Literacy , I was learning Computer Science, due to family necessities I had to drop out, talked to some friends and started learning here with Treehouse, I am very happy with the page, but I do want to take the right steps so in a couple of years I could get a job as a web developer or have enough tools to start working at least(I know it could be before that). Have in mind my level is 0 or 0.5 now that I learned DL.lol. Thank you very much for reading my question and if you have time to answer it will be awesome!

3,535 PointsHello Gabriel! It dépends on what you re looking for here! I discovered Treehouse few months ago, and did some basic Front End to start with (Css, Html, Javascript). Could be a good start, not too hard. Python or Ruby can be nice as well, but Python syntax is a lot different of other langages! Web development is pretty good to have a view on what is next! See you

Do you have an inkling as to where your interests in development are? Do you like graphic design? Do you like the idea of designing how pages look (front-end) or how they function (back-end)? For a beginner level in any sort of web development, you should probably start with one of these tracks-
Both will teach you the essentials of HTML/CSS, which are foundational for anyone involved in web development. There is a lot of overlap in those two tracks, with the primary different that the Web Design track incorporates some Design courses using Adobe Software whereas the Front End Web Development Track replaces those with learning JavaScript. You would not be wasting time to go either route, though I would probably recommend Front End unless you have a strong leaning toward interest in graphic design.

There's no formal guidelines for what you have to learn or in what order--tracks just offer a way to take courses in in a grouping based on related technologies while offering some logical progression where prerequisites may exist. But you can stop and start a new track or course whenever you want. And like I said, those two tracks in particular contain many of the same courses (since tracks are just compilations of courses), and you won't have to redo the parts you've already completed from taking a course individually or as part of another track.
