Hi Ryan,

It's asking you to provide instructions inside the HTML that will include the JavaScript file, 'shout.js'. This is done using

<script>

tags and including a src attribute (short for source). That code looks like this:

  <script src="shout.js"></script>

As a best programming practice, it is typically encouraged to include this reference just before the closing body tag, to allow all the HTML and CSS dependencies to load first. You will hear this topic talked about by many of the JavaScript teachers on Treehouse.
