Task 3 of 3 on inheritance super class the question about using list.sort method am failing to get the implied meaning
class Inventory:
def __init__(self):
self.slots = []
def add_item(self, item):
self.slots.append(item)
class SortedInventory(Inventory):
def add_item(self, item):
super().add_item(item)
self.slots.append(item)
list.sort(slots)

Treehouse Moderator 28,722 PointsVery close. The inheritance of the SortedInventory makes it so you can call the super().add_item() and that is sufficient to put the item into the slots. Then... all you have to do is sort, see below.
You could also get away with self.slots.sort(), but sorted() presents some interesting possibilities to change the sort method.

self.slots = []
def add_item(self, item):
self.slots.append(item)
class SortedInventory(Inventory):
def add_item(self, item):
super().add_item(item) # this adds the item using the Parent class
self.slots = sorted(self.slots) # simple ascending sort of the slots

1,488 PointsPart 2 asks you to add items into the "slots" list. Which looks like this:

super().add_item(item)
self.slots.append(item)
In part 3, you actually have to replace the "self.slots.append(item)" with "self.slots.sort()". Rather than adding "self.slots.sort()" to the already existing code from the previous part of the challenge. It took me a while to figure this out. Hope that helps :)
