Help setting up a Microsoft Windows 8.1 Ubuntu 14 dual boot

I'm trying to install a Microsoft Windows 8.1 Ubuntu 14 dual boot on my new computer. I've been stuck for about 8 hours on the same part so I'd be really grateful if anyone can help! I'm following this tutorial: http://linux.about.com/od/LinuxNewbieDesktopGuide/ss/The-Ultimate-Windows-81-And-Ubuntu-Dual-Boot-Guide.htm

What I've Done so Far:
-I made a Linux bootable USB -created an unallocated 20G of free space on my SSD. -booted my computer into Linux off the thumb drive and started the installation

Where I'm Getting Stuck
When I start the installation and get to the part where you choose your installation type, I do not get the option to install Ubuntu alongside Windows boot manager.

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Hi! I might be able to help. You'll want to do a custom install, and select the 20GB of space you freed as the install drive. Tell me if it doesn't work (and you might want more like 50 to 100 GB if you plan to use Ubuntu a lot.)

Thanks for the advice. The custom install option was a bit intimidating but it did the trick. Now I have working dual boot system, thank you!!
