Help! Where to start and what course to take if I want to learn to build add-ons apps for gmail?

I've just recently joined the treehouse family and am a complete newbie at programming. I would greatly appreciated it if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Hiya there! I see that you're a total newbie, so yeah you should ask yourself if you'd like to be a front-end developer or back-end or full stack or mobile application developer. I'd suggest that you put some research into it. And when you do, head over to "tracks" section of treehouse and start right away.

If you'd like to start with front-end, i'd highly suggest you must begin your learning path with HTML and CSS. And when you'll get good grip on 'em , head over to JavaScript. And by the time you're done with JavaScript, im pretty sure you'd know what to do next.

If you choose back-end, i'd highly recommend you to start with Python or Ruby tracks. They're beginner friendly languages and yet so powerful , versatile and really demanding in IT industries. Learn their frameworks and syntaxes and nuances.

Just be patient and dont rush and dont hesitate to post questions or doubts on Treehouse community. Invest time in learning and check out docs coz every programmer have docs bookmarked on their browsers. And Good luck on your Journey! (:

Thank you so much Ari. That is really very informative. Appreciate it a lot and can't wait to get started.
