Hi my name is Taylor. I just started the html course. When I edit the code, the preview is still the same. Why?

I would change the name of the title from Peg Leg to something else, and would replace Joy's name with my own. However, when I hit the preview button, it takes it to Joy's story again without any changes done to the page. Why is this?

Are you remembering to save your code before you reload the page to see the changes?

Yes. Here's an update to the situation. The text has changed. My name, the title and paragraph. Now I'm trying to change the colors, and it's still the same. I've saved it, refreshed the page, etc. Still the same.

Can you share your code?

Okay. I got it. I made a new page. Copied and pasted it, but it's going off of the old original page. index.html. When I edited that, I could see the changes. I couldn't see it with the other one. That's still progress lol.

For future reference, I guess it doesn't register with any other domain name than index.html huh?

Sounds like a weird fluke. Glad you figured it out! Good luck fellow newbie Treehouser!

I'm not sure of the exercise you're working on, but I'd say your right. It's looking for a specific html file. Unless you can tell it to look for something other than index.html....

That must be what it is. Because I am editing everything in the index.html file, and now I am able to see all the changes I've made. I also realized that I need to save every time I want to SEE a change on the page. That solved the problem earlier, including the color of the text.
