Hi Mat,

I'm not too sure what your question is but the horizontal offset is just the box-shadow that appears behind your current box which is displayed horizontally, vice versa for the vertical offset. If you were trying to solve the challenge, there was a mistake in your first code because the challenge states to set the horizontal offset to 0 (your second one is fine).

Anyways, if you were looking for the answer, you can just change the first part of your code accordingly.

.main-header { box-shadow: 0 2px 15px #aaa, inset 0 0 60px 5px firebrick; }
