How did he know what values to put in?

Hi

How did Gull know what values to put in to get the color orange rgb(255, 169, 73)?

What if I wanted it to be blue? Where did he get the numbers from?

Hi Damir,

I watched the video and I got the impression that he selected the orange color based on his like for that shade of orange. A Google search can help you find information.

Orange is rgb(255, 165, 0) or #FFA500 so he was not using a pure orange color.

These references can help you select the rgb or hex codes for colors you desire. http://cloford.com/resources/colours/500col.htm http://www.rapidtables.com/web/color/RGB_Color.htm

Gull would be the best person to respond to your question. I think the person-tagging method would be best for you.

I hope this is helpful.

I don't know from the video where Gull gets the values for his RGB colours but there is plenty of free resources availible online such as http://www.colorschemer.com/online.html. Here you can convert between RGB/HEX Values and also select colours from a colour wheel.

This information can also be found in a lot of design suites for example Photoshop Colour Picker has multiple colour wheels, the value for HEX, CMYK, RGB, LAB and HSB.

Hope this helps :)

(Sorry for the confusing spelling of color I am from London and it is habit lol)
