PHP PHP Basics Daily Exercise Program Conditionals

How do I reference the variables in the echo'd message for this exercise properly?

I receive a "Use the variables to display the student name" error when running the below code:

<?php $studentOneName = 'Dave'; $studentOneGPA = 3.8;

$studentTwoName = 'Treasure'; $studentTwoGPA = 4.0;

if ($studentOneGPA == 4.0) { echo "$studentOneName made the Honor Roll"; } else { echo "$studentOneName has a GPA of $studentOneGPA"; }

if ($studentTwoGPA == 4.0) { echo "$studentTwoName made the Honor Roll"; } else { echo "$studentTwoGPA has a GPA of $studentTwoGPA"; }

?>

I would appreciate some advice regarding how to fix the above so that the variables are correctly referenced within each echo'd string.

index.php
<?php
$studentOneName = 'Dave';
$studentOneGPA = 3.8;

$studentTwoName = 'Treasure';
$studentTwoGPA = 4.0;

if ($studentOneGPA == 4.0) {
  echo "$studentOneName made the Honor Roll";
}
else {
  echo "$studentOneName has a GPA of $studentOneGPA";
}

if ($studentTwoGPA == 4.0) {
  echo "$studentTwoName made the Honor Roll";
}
else {
  echo "$studentTwoGPA has a GPA of $studentTwoGPA";
}

?>

You used $studentTwoGPA instead of $studentTwoName, so the system thought you manually entered student #2 name.

<?php

if($studentTwoGPA == 4.0) {
  echo "$studentTwoName made the Honor Roll";
} else {
  echo "$studentTwoName has a GPA of $studentTwoGPA";
}

?>

Thanks Mathieu. I clearly need to slow down a bit.

My pleasure ! Yes, tutorials are sometime mind numbing !
