how do you capture and post an image of your code challenge?

None of the tips I've found have helped me figure out how to save or share images of the challenge I'm working on for assiatance

Why do you want to make a screenshot ? Just copy paste the code that you are working on ! If you really want to make a screenshot, on what operating system are you ?

I'm using windows

In which version ? And, why did you don't just want to copy paste your code ?

windows 10 I need to be able to show the entire answer to the challenge along with the error message. For the one I'm currently stuck on, my answer matches exactly what was posted as the correct code, so I believe there is a system bug. I also feel like I should understand how to do something so basic in general.

Then copy paste your entire code in a block of code and the errors in another. See the Markdown Documentation on Github for help with block of code in your posts.

To make screenshots on Windows 10, check the How to Take Screenshots in Windows 10 tutorial by Rahul Saigal on How To Geek.

If you're stuck on a challenge... A screenshot will not be very convenient for you or for others that wish to help you in the Community. This will not link to the course, video, and/or challenge. Linking is vital for getting the most accurate assistance. Being able to copy/paste your code is also important, and that cannot be done from a screenshot.

In the challenge, after you have entered the code you are trying (but still receiving an error), simply just click the "Get Help" button that is just to the left of the "Check Work" button. Follow the prompts given and make sure the "Attach my code to this post" is checked.

Once the "Start Discussion" button is clicked, your question will be posted to the Community. It will know also be linked to the exact challenge you are referring to, and you code will be included in the post as well. This is the best way to seek help in the Community.

Hope this helps you here in the Treehouse Community. :) :dizzy:

That was what I needed to know. Thank you Jason!
