How recent are the tutorials ?

Hi,

i would like to start Javascript beginner tutorials, but i cant find any information how recent any of the tutorials are. Is there some way to know when the tutorial was posted or updated ?

I think its very important information whether the tutorial was done this year or for example in 2015, does it include es6 or not ? I want to then continue to React tutorials, but year or two years are eternity when learning new stuff.

So back to my question, any way for me to know how updated and relevant the tutorials are ? Its over 10 hours of commitment and there is some cost involved, it would be good to know if i will be learning things which are not outdated.

Thanks Luke

This is just my opinion

So you should go true Basics then Full Stack JS dev, then google for Vue.JS :)

  • ES6 / ECMAscript 2015 is same ( i got lost first time too but someone call it ES5 or ES6 but its .... and you can find it in Full Stack JS dev course )

This is totaly lost of time in JS for begginers Track (https://teamtreehouse.com/tracks/beginner-javascript) - i mean only "Introduction to JS" part !

  • Introduction to JS ( idk sense why they made it but okey ) - Lost of time if you begginer but maybe it motive someone who knows

after this go to full stack JS (https://teamtreehouse.com/tracks/full-stack-javascript) why after ? because jQuery Plugins course its handy and its missing from Full Stack JS :)

  • outdated Express videos now its diffrent but in this course you learn how Express Template was biuld and a lot of things so when you open your IDE and make Express Node.JS applicaton you dont get lost :)
  • i dont know why they pick PUG because HANDLEBARS is almost same as HTML but okey why dont make people confused, and PUG is not popullar in this years

after this you should go to google and try find Vue.JS or Vue.JS 2 tutorials because Vue JS 2 is future for now it give you BEST from Angular and REACT and its a lot of faster

thanks Patrik, can you please let me know why you think the Beginner Javascript is loss of time ? I am coding for long time in C#, but i am completely new to Javascript, React Native and i am trying to understand the basics. Unfortunately i cant find anything here on React Native and the only thing i thought could help me ( Javascript Beginner ) you think is waste of time :D So thats a bit bummer.
