How to build a "broken links checker" application?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering what would be the best language to build a simple "broken links checker" application?

A simple app where you can copy your URL in the provided input, click search and the app would automatically crawl your website to find all broken URL and return the results with the broken links.

I think python would be great for things like that :-)
