You have to design this one the way it works the best with the kind of application you want to code. If you want to investigate the modeling of database, there are building methodologies such as merise that can be investigate. But It's not an obligation at first, for simple projet in my honest opinion. Moreover, nothing is engraved in the rock when building your database, changes might be done if ever something is badly designed. Lastly, you should take a look at the database foundation course. Everything is explained to have a good start.
