How to export picture as SVG in photoshop? in "Flexible Images Part One: Vector Graphics" Alison just clicks save as, and she is able to select the format .svg. In my photoshop cs5 I don't have the option.

I think it's best to redesign the logo completely in Illustrator and save it out as an SVG. Chances are it will take longer to make the live trace look good than it is worth the time it might save you.
What does the logo look like you're trying to save as an SVG?

31,206 PointsYou can't go from JPEG (which is raster based) to SVG (which is vector based).

31,206 PointsJust re-watched the video, and if you were talking about around timestamp 2:25, Allison is actually in Adobe Illustrator at that point, and not Photoshop. Depending on what you created, you may be able to "trace" your artwork in Illustrator and get an acceptable vector result.

6,040 PointsWell, if you just bring the image into illustrator you can use a function called live trace that will do its best to make a vector version of the image. If you play with some of the settings it can give you varying results and then you can edit it from there ( because depending on the illustrator version you have sometimes the results are not great. ) Go to Object > Live Trace to access the Live trace function. If that does not work well for you, you will need to use the pen tool to make a vector version.

6,816 PointsHey Allison! I only have Photoshop CS5, is there another program I can download for free to export SVG files? The logo I've created now is in the beta stages, it's shaped as a circle with letters "ALT" inside with style.
