How to proper plan an app

Hey guys, I've done a prototype of an app which I like so much that I'd like to produce it professionally. I learnd the 5 P (proper preparation prepares for perfect performance) so I'd like to be prepared At university I learnd that I need all this to have a proper app:

  • activity diagram,
  • use case scenarios,
  • use case diagram,
  • Mock ups,
  • Database model

Do you agree? What's missing? Do you have any suggestions for tools? How can I keep all this updated? I'll not code the app myself I'll find some experienced programmers...

My advice is start with this article a user centered approach to web design for mobile devices

Then follow up with getting some background in UX perhaps, read a book on UX/Interaction Design. This is a good choice A Project Guide to UX Design
