How to use the forwards function?

I can't fix the forwards function, even though I know how to do it backwards. How do I do this? Can somebody help me?

Hey Benjamin Cha 👋

You're very close here! Currently, your reverse function always returns a list, even when the provided value was a string. To fix this you can simply return your iterableitem[::-1]. This will reverse the provided value and return the same type of value as provided initially 🙂

def reverse(thing):
    return thing[::-1]

forwards = map(reverse, backwards)
