how to we know we have to use the .String() method after the resource.body() in the code? please explain this

in the video the teacher used the code log.v(TAG , resource.body().String , e). how do i know i have to use that method? especially if its from the okhttp library so probably android wont even give the right suggestion until i enter the first letter
