How would you make an image as the background in CSS Grids

I want to make an image to be the background for my entire site but how would you do this using CSS Grids? So if I wanted to make a landing page with an entire image as the background or even make a video as the entire back ground, how can I accomplish this in CSS grids? Thank you so much.
