I am not able to run my project on the emulator. Error says: IllegalArgumentException: Unable to locate adb.

Whenever I hit the run button, I get the message: IllegalArgumentException: Unable to locate adb.

I've tried to download the SDK platform tools update, but the download never begins.

I would really appreciate your help. Thank you!

In Android Studio, Click on 'Tools' on the top tab bar of android studio

Tools >> Android >> SDK Manager >> Launch Standalone Sdk manager

there you can clearly see which platform tool is missing , then just install whats needed.
