i can't find two column using float

Question

follow all the guide line about style rules in css file when i type #gallery li{ float:left; width:45%;margin:2.5%;}
i can't find any two column in my page

If possible, if I could see all of your entire stylesheet that would help a lot. I would be able to add it to my html and figure out what's wrong. You do have the gallery list item correctly coded for the layout. Possibly it could be the wrapper is off or the margins and padding of your gallery might be off also. But I can't tell with just that little bit of css you provided.

I can't exactly get the problem but, you can first add this rule to make sure it will give you the exact 45% 
css
*,
*:before,
*:after{box-sizing: border-box;}

If that doesn't work, you might need to look at the parent of this ul and li, or to make sure that all are sit.
