I cant remember how to do the conditional statements exactly, especially in a function, can someone help??

im getting a sytax error

You almost had it! This should work:

function max(numberOne, numberTwo) { 
if (numberOne > numberTwo) { 
return numberOne; 
} 
else { 
return numberTwo; 
}
