I can't select phpmyadmin in "Tools" and it says "php 5.5 to 7.0.x needed"

Under "phpinfo" it says php 7.1.1 in my comp.

OK I found how to choose the php version in the MAMP Settings menu.

Ok found an answer, if you are taken to the login page after selecting phpMyAdmin enter "root" as your username and leave the password blank.
