I did as asked ...just don't understand the question.

I have added the code below

It should look like this. You set the value to equal the function with the return inside of the function. This will set the value of echo to the value that is spit out by the function. A useful example is if you inputted a number and did a sum with that number you can easily retrieve the new number to the variable of echo

function returnValue(firstArg){
 return firstArg;  
  }

var echo = returnValue("text")
