C# ASP.NET MVC Basics Views Displaying a List of Values

I did what I suppose to do, but I got an error. :(

Inside the <ul> tag I added the foreach loop. And inside the loop I inserted a <li> tag with the name of character. see the code below:

<div> <ul> @foreach(character in characters){ <li>@character</li>
} </ul> </div>

I don't see where is the problem.

Are you missing a "var " in front of character in the foreach loop?

 @foreach(var character in characters){
<li>@character</li>
}
